CHARTER OF THE COMMONWEALTH (FROM THE COMMONWEALTH)

Secretary-General Kamalesh Sharma and Commonwealth Chair-in-Office Prime Minister Julia Gillard of Australia announced on 19 December 2012 the adoption of an historic Charter for the Commonwealth, as part of a wide-ranging package of reforms to the 54-member association.
The Charter brings together the values and aspirations which unite the Commonwealth - democracy, human rights and the rule of law - in a single, accessible document.
The Charter expresses the commitment of member states to the development of free and democratic societies and the promotion of peace and prosperity to improve the lives of all peoples of the Commonwealth. The Charter also acknowledges the role of civil society in supporting the goals and values of the Commonwealth.
Heads of government endorsed the charter after broad consultations among member governments, civil society and the public.
Mr Sharma introduced the Charter as a defining document for an inclusive and accountable Commonwealth. “We are now better placed to respond to the needs of our citizens,” he said.
Prime Minister Gillard said the Charter would belong as much to the people of the Commonwealth as it did to member governments.
The Charter was a key recommendation of the Commonwealth Eminent Persons Group (EPG) in their 2011 report ‘A Commonwealth of the People: Time for Urgent Reform’.

  1. TIME FOR URGENT REFORM .. In Law , as Law has a tendency to be represented on "the Day" this is a form of terror for those less prepared to hold responsible answers for unknown agenda in questioning at the Queens Bench.
Let this statement be issued under the force of a responsible Charter of the Commonwealth to enable Judicial Review of decisions and Arbitration between parties to be held in written form, 7 day turnaround between responses prior to Courtroom presence before a Justice.. So that each detail can be assembled within said timeframe , thus placing evidence whilst it is still fresh , rather than the long delays experienced which prejudice defendants, today.

In particular arbitration among parties at a distance (interstate) provides for efficient collection of facts / disputes along with challenges that MUST be answered by letter within an allotted timeframe be it 24 hours or 7 days
This arbitration style of electronic service and response has prospect to reduce the burden placed on live Court appearance, with a potential of dispute settlement reached out of Court , whilst providing a binding contract, which the Court may be used to enforce in cases of neglect. Those greedy lawyers want a big chunk of a sukers savings .. Its about time some are recognized for what they really are , Sellers of Justice .. how much can u afford ?
