POLICE OFFICER CAUGHT ALLEGEDLY DRINK-DRIVING IN MELBOURNE'S SOUTH

A POLICEMAN has been busted allegedly drink-driving in Melbourne's southern suburbs. 

The off-duty sergeant was caught at a random breath-testing site in Bangholme last night.
A Victoria Police statement said he was intercepted on Thames Promenade just after 9pm and allegedly blew.059.

The officer, from the southern metropolitan police region, was issued with a penalty notice.
He may also face internal disciplinary proceedings.
